FOX hunting is still alive and well all over the country. Hunts still go out twice a week in County Durham and the country.
Recently, about 30 men and women on horseback with the same amount of hounds and the same amount of people in Range Rovers who like to follow the hunt to see the action, I saw the hunt holding up the traffic on the A690 and on Page Bank, in County Durham, with hounds running about and horses charging out of control in their horrible lust for fox blood.
They rode along the Weardale Way, charged down fields into the middle of flocks of sheep, scattering the terrified beasts everywhere, they were seen drinking while riding a quad bike and even chatting on their mobile phones while on horseback.
It is time this Act of Parliament was enforced and the police took things seriously.
