DOES anyone remember Printer’s Pie, written byJune Hawden, published in The Darlington Evening Despatch in the early Eighties?
My son Kevin was a member and had a great time. He won a couple of competitions. One of the prizes was a denim jacket from Binns and the other was an Action Man.
June organised lots of outings, one being a visit to Tyne Tees for an appearance on one of the Saturday morning shows.
Another was a trip to Middlesbrough Football Club to watch the match between the Boro and Liverpool. I was lucky enough to be able to go to that myself. Happy days.
Doreen Dobson, Darlington.
