RECENTLY, a reader wrote to ask if I may actually existed and that I might just be a Northern Echo journalist writing under a pseudonym (HAS, Nov 17).

I would like to point out, as I was stopped a couple of times at the weekend regarding this letter, that I am Christopher Wardell.

I am 39 years old and I live in Darlington with my family. To prove my point, here is a photo of me in my bowler hat.

Now that I have cleared this matter up, let us look forward to reading more letters about a variety of topics including political moans, the global recession and light hearted articles about aliens and tins of mushroom soup.
