DURHAM County Council is inviting transport operators to bid for the right to run some of the threatened bus services in Teesdale (Echo, Nov 5).
According to the last paragraph, Arriva has not ruled out bidding to operate some of the axed services.
The council should give the small bus companies preference over Arriva and the big companies.
