WE have just celebrated another Rememberance Sunday in honour of the service personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty protecting the interests and the shores of this country.

Our politicians, on the other hand, feel it necessary to lower the border controls of these islands and, in doing so, have no idea how many possible terrorists, drug traffickers or illegal immigrants may have entered this country.

Politicians quiet happily send our Armed Forces all over the world to do their bidding and to protect citizens of other nations.

Yet, here at home, it seems that failed asylum-seekers can’t be sent back.
