SO, Sepp Blatter and his "yes men", better known as Fifa, have said the English players cannot wear the poppy on their shorts when they play Spain at Wembley this weekend.
To say I am disgusted and insulted would be a gross understatement.
Not only is it an insult to England but also Scotland, Wales and Ireland who also wear the poppy as a sign of respect for those in the Armed Forces who paid the ultimate price.
How anyone can say that wearing the poppy is political, beggars belief.
It's obvious they have not taken the time to find out just what wearing the poppy means to the British public.
I think that on this occasion, the FA should tell Fifa that the England team will wear the poppy and that they can do what they want to do.
