AS a fervent UK unionist and royalist I have no objection to the change of succession to the throne.
It matters not whether the first born is boy or girl. I am sure they will make a fine head of the Church of England, although I wonder how a non-Protestant or non-Christian would in future undertake this role?
The most important thing is that by the time the new succession rule comes into play that there is still a UK head of state, king or queen, and that this role has not been handed over to a future unelected United States of eurozoneland president.
Having a monarch is a blessing. Look at some presidents.
Do we really want another Saddam or a Mubarek? No wonder the freed Libyan people are flying the late King Idris’ royal flag after overthrowing a detested dictator.
God save the king or queen.
