THE narrow view of the EU should not be allowed dominate our politics. The benefits of being a member are not in front of people on a daily basis. The easy focus on negatives is picked up by some politicians eager to capitalise on the electorate's views.
If we look at the broad picture of the world as it is now, we see that we are using more of world’s resources than are being replaced. These factors can only be dealt with where countries agree common policies.
If this does not occur then the strong will inflict grave injustice on the weak. There will need to be a clear understanding that internal changes will be needed to enable populations to survive.
