MY favourite column by Mike Amos was his Eating Owt articles. I often paid a visit to the eating establishments he mentioned, but usually alone, due to an outburst of foolery dining out with my partner last year.
While celebrating our anniversary, I pulled out a twig and told the waitress that we had booked a table under the name of Branch, and then I began to wave it around pretending to swat an invisible fly.
