REGARDING the issue of bird droppings beneath bridges in Darlington (HAS, Oct 17).
All footpaths underneath bridges are regularly pressure washed to remove the build up of pigeon droppings.
Although every effort is made to prevent a build-up on foot paths, our resources do not allow this to happen on a daily basis.
We take any reports of dirty and potentially dangerous footpaths very seriously and will endeavour to send out a team to investigate any complaints as soon as they can.
Anyone who needs to report anything to our Street Scene teams can contact us on 01325- 388777 or simply email us at customerservices@darlington.gov.uk Brian Graham Darlington Borough Council.
