THE duplicity and prevarication of Liam Fox's denials of impropriety continued long after the game was up, but at least his conduct had a certain rationale, albeit irregular and reckless, but typical of his arrogant approach.

No such justification can be attributed to the actions of Cabinet Minister, Oliver Letwin, who would appear to have been routinely dumping office documents in waste bins in a public park.

This sort of behaviour is not rational and is, in fact, rather peculiar.

Similar conduct by a member of staff in the public or private sector would be a matter of concern for any enlightened employer, indicating as it does some sort of breakdown or emotional problem.

One has witnessed this sort of public park performance before but it’s usually associated with the consumption of bottles of strong cider.
