EVERYDAY we read how much our councils are cutting back, yet when the roads are perfectly clean and free from litter I spotted a road sweeper.
As a recently qualified social worker, I am outraged at such extravagance, particularly since the vehicle was operated by a driver plus one passenger.
Following my observation, I noted that the roads did not look any different.
The real problem is that the Government is making cutbacks in areas affecting children, young people and their families.
One thing comes to mind when thinking about these cutbacks, they do have short memories don’t they?
