REGARDING Keith Dewison’s letter about Prince Philip’s 90th birthday (HAS, June 6). Anyone who reaches the age of 90 is worthy of congratulations.
Prince Philip has made me laugh over the years with many witty or simply dry remarks and observations. He has been completely unstuffy.
As for Keith’s definition of work, surely he can realise that a jolly once in a while is just that, but ten times a month for decades and it soon becomes a chore.
Do not criticise any man until you have walked a mile in his boots.
Mr Dewison, your stamina for work is unknown, but what is known is that when a person points a finger at someone there are three pointing at themselves.
You did not just point at Prince Philip, but all of his well-wishers too.
Eric Foster, Darlington.
