IT beggars belief that Tony Blair, the man who paved the way for Gordon Brown to ratify the Lisbon Treaty, and denied us the promised right to a vote on it, now suggests that elections should be held to appoint an EU president.

Does he not realise, or is he ignoring the fact, that the only vote now acceptable to many regarding to the EU is a vote on the UK’s continued membership.
