I DON’T know why I bother to follow television soap operas.
They are becoming depressing.
There is too much fighting, killing, lying, deceit and stealing in Eastenders. Plus, no one seems to own a washing machine – are they so hard up?
If it wasn’t for Dot Cotton at the launderette no one would have clean clothes, but they can all afford to go to the pub.
The same is true of Coronation Street. They must spend all their wages from the factory in the pub.
I would like to see something more realistic and true to life.
Or should we start a collection to buy residents of Albert Square a washing machine each?
Dot, with all her morals and quotes from the Bible, says: “You know me, I am not one for gossip”. What?
