I AM writing on behalf of the Meningitis Trust in response to the news that Christopher McKee a student from Sunderland University died of meningitis (Echo, April 7). Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Meningitis continues to affect thousands of people every year.
Because we’re here, no one has to face the devastation of meningitis alone.
Our commitment at the Meningitis Trust is to reach and support the people who don’t know we exist. Our free support can change lives.
As the only organisation in the UK that is solely focused on supporting people after meningitis, we help over 20,000 people each year.
For more information about meningitis, and how we can help, please visit meningitis-trust.org or call our nurses on 0800-0281828 anytime of day.
Matt Clarke Community Development Officer, Meningitis Trust.
