I ALWAYS get headlines on letters that insult me but never above letters that appeal to readers.
D Lacey (HAS, May 12) demeans himself in choosing to criticise my contributions instead of showing decent Christian compassion for the murder of one of Colonel Gadaffi’s sons and three of his grandchildren.
My letters may be predictable to you Mr Lacey, but not to many others, I assure you.
I don’t believe in the murder of children in pursuit of dubious political plans aided by military means – do you Mr Lacey?
In The Times this week a Tory-supporting think tank wants to abolish bus passes, the winter heating allowance and the free TV licence.
Why shouldn’t I, and millions of others, dislike the Tories?
So long as The Northern Echo prints my letters, I shall continue to send them in – like it or lump it Mr Lacey.
Hugh Pender, Darlington.
