NORTH-EAST Conservative MEP Martin Callanan condemned the vast amounts of British taxpayers’ money wasted by Labour, money “which could go towards hospitals, schools, police and regional development” (HAS, May 6) .

I look forward to his condemnation of the Conservative-led Government’s decision to use our money to provide aid to educate the children of foreign nations, build schools, hospitals and roads, as well as training their police force and their armies.

I look forward to Mr Callanan’s condemnation of the increase in MPs’ expenses by £11m a year at a time when the Government’s policies are increasing poverty and homelessness throughout Britain.

I look forward to any Conservative MEP, MP, minister or councillor publicly challenging, condemning, or even disagreeing with, Oliver Letwin’s recent comments about those whose taxes pay their wages.
