BEING a Darlington FC supporter for more than 50 years, the magic of the trophy win at Wembley will live with me forever.

Thanks to your excellent coverage on Monday, I was able to re-live the events again.

After going to the wrong place to catch the bus, my friend and I almost never made Wembley, but the DFC supporters’ club kindly stepped in and gave us a lift to Leicester service area where we found our bus.

Thanks to The Northern Echo and the supporters club we enjoyed an occasion to remember.

Well done to both.
