REGARDING the article by Paul Cook about the number of complaints made about the Student Loan Company (Echo, May 9).

Mr Cook makes no mention as to why the loans were delayed.

Could the loan application forms have been filled out incorrectly?

If that is so, the result is that the form has to be returned to the applicant for completion.

The failures on the part of some of the applicants include mundane things like not answering the questions correctly and not signing the application.

This applies to parents as well as students.

I understand also that some people seem to think they are in the medical profession, their writing is illegible.

Get it right, get your cash. It is not rocket science is it?
