ALEX SALMOND has said we English have to hang around for a couple of years while Scots make up their minds about independence.
Meanwhile, we keep shoveling English money northwards.
Why is it I picture Scotland as a Tam O’ Shantered, kilted beggar with a massive hairy sporran and his hand stuck out, whistling “Scotland the Brave”?
Each country comprising the UK should have a referendum on its own independence this year – not when the Scots pluck up courage to have one.
