HUGH PENDER (HAS, May 10) castigates David Cameron for his response to the reported death of Colonel Gaddafi’s son and other family members during a Nato attack.

Mr Pender is completely wrong – when asked directly about the matter, Cameron declined to comment about what he described as “unconfirmed reports”.

This is yet another instance of Mr Pender manufacturing evidence to support his pathological hatred (his words) of all things Tory.

His letters invariably revolve around the same theme and, quite frankly, have become boring and predictable.
