ON Friday, January 21, The Forum, in Borough Road, Darlington, is staging a relaunch party. The popular music venue is reopening its doors after a refurbishment. It would be nice if you could call in to have a look around and join in with the celebrations.

Popular cover band The Skybabies are headlining an evening of live music, assisted by those soothing instrumentalists The Jazztones, along with a host of acoustic musicians.

There will also be canapes, a champagne prize draw, giveaways and sets by DJs spinning an array of genres including ska, soul and mod anthems.

Admission is free and the venue would like to welcome both old and new groovers to the party. Doors open at 6pm and proceedings finish at midnight.

Come on down folks. Celebrate the relaunch of this fabulous local music institution.
