THERE is a very strong possibility that MPs are going to get their way again and that the Parliamentary expense system is to be relaxed to their advantage.

The electorate was promised a strict system to control MPs’ expenditure and uncover any abuses of the system.

Experience has clearly demonstrated that these individuals cannot be trusted with our money. Hence the current system which does not suit these pampered people.

We were also promised that “our” Parliament would be reformed and that the excessive number of MPs would be reduced to a more manageable and cost-effective number.

As usual, we have been misled.

No surprise there.
