I THOUGHT I was alone in not applauding the speech made by Prince William in support of England’s bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
That is, until I watched a recent episode of Russell Howard’s Good News. It was wonderful to see a presenter with the guts to step on a few upper-crust toes. May his funny and insightful views continue to be aired.
Our future King’s speech (if that be the correct word) was so bland, lifeless and boring it must, surely, have made the selectors run a mile.
On this performance he isn’t worth a penny of his civil list salary. He is far too lacking in personality to be an eventual head of state.
Sadly, in this day and age, it is often the least able who are the most powerful. Our nation doesn’t stand a chance.
