THE failure to continue making the A66 trans-pennine route completely dual carriageway, instead of a bit here and a bit there, is a disgrace.
Only a couple of days ago we had another fatal accident on this dangerous stretch of road.
When you consider that it is the main arterial road from the A1 to Scotland, which carries many heavy goods vehicles, I ask myself would this be the case if it were down south?
The North-East seems to be the forgotten region.
