IN response to the letter from Paul Turgoose (HAS, Dec 29) regarding his meter readings, I can say that the situation is just as frustrating being a meter reader.

I don’t work for npower, but I occasionally come across the same problem, where I can’t record both meter readings together. If the meter details aren’t on our hand-held computers, we generally can’t record the readings.

It gets a bit frustrating when we have waded through several inches of snow to get to a property, and are unable to record both readings.

We sometimes get the third degree from customers as we are the only people they see working on behalf of their supplier.
