HAVING reached the age of nearly 73, I and many other older people are sick and tired of hearing foul language.
If we take a trip to town, and are unlucky enough to travel on the school run, the air is usually blue.
Today’s so-called comedians, I am told, frequently use the f word.
I, on principle, will not watch anything featuring Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay or Billy Connolly in case an expletive slips out.
It is a shame that decent, wellbrought- up youngsters have to be surrounded by this filth. When we were young we never heard such words.
It can only get worse. Think what it will be like in ten years. If we are lucky we won’t be here.
Joan Scott, Hartlepool.
