DON’T you just get sick of millionaire politicians telling us we’re all in the same boat and that there is a price to be paid?

And we know just who will be paying it, don’t we? Yes, the people at the bottom, as always.

When it’s talk of us and them, “them” are the ones with the money.

Their ideas of going without means not having as long a winter holiday as they would wish, not renewing their petrol-guzzling Range Rover as often and not entertaining their wealthy chums so much, whereas our reality is no holiday at all after slaving our guts out all year round to pay the taxman, no car at all because we can’t afford to run one and eating nowt but beans on toast for dinner.

Yes, Messrs Cameron, Clegg and Osborne, as you say, we are all in it together.
