IS Mike Amos such an old fuddy-duddy as his column implies? Reading his Eating Owt column about the restaurant at Barkers Furnishing Store at Northallerton (Echo Weekend supplement, Oct 16) and his offensive skits about what elderly women discuss, I realised how out of touch he is.
I am one of “them” oldies, although I’m more likely to discuss cricket, Boro (my heroes of long ago), Simon Cowell and the male dancers on “Strictly”.
Wow!
Thank goodness for Ray Mallon’s column about the Chilean mine rescue (Echo, Oct 15). Well done The Northern Echo for the coverage. Exciting news at last. Good for Chile.
