OVER the past few months/years there have been many reports of hoodies causing trouble in our country.
It has got to the point where small toddlers in shops have been told they must remove the hoods of their anoraks.
They must have looked extremely vicious at the time.
Question: did anyone notice the hoody on Page 3 of The Northern Echo on September 30 with a huge grin on his face and waving a stick in a manner likely to cause someone injury?
Seriously, what a marvellous sight to see someone waving the Union Flag in such a way and there wasn’t any reference in the story – about soldiers from 21 Engineer Regiment, based at Claro Barracks, Ripon, marching through the city after a tour of Afghanistan – of the BNP either.
Keep it up young man. May you live long.
ME Harris, Darlington.
