THE road salt situation in Durham was covered extensively in your paper, and quite right, too.
We have certainly been struggling to keep Durham City and our villages going, and I β like many β have found it very difficult to get around during this prolonged period of bad weather.
I am very pleased that Durham City Labour MP Roberta Blackman-Woods stepped in to fight for more salt for our roads. I know extra salt has recently been delivered thanks to her, which is most welcome.
Itβs nice to know we have an MP who will speak up for Durham when we need her to.
