I WANT jobs returned to the UK, not a world-class company like Cadbury sold off to Kraft Foods of the US. How long will it be before the Cadbury jobs are exported abroad?
I agree with our party leader Nick Clegg’s stance at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday. I was flabbergasted when he said that Kraft Foods would finance the Cadbury deal from money loaned by a UK bank. I find this action disgusting.
I note that unemployment has reduced by 7,000 nationally and increased by 7,000 in the North-East, according to the latest figures. With 9.8 per cent registered as unemployed, the North-East has the worst record in the UK.
