PRESERVE us from nutty professors and scheming scientists. Let these unelected representatives of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs take their bat and ball home if such is their mature decision upon advice on the relevant dangers of cannabis and smoking tobacco not being accepted by the Government.
I suppose it is relatively less dangerous to be run over by a small car than by a juggernaut, though better still to avoid both.
Remember it was science that blessed us with the benefits of thalidomide.
Recent events show how difficult it is to bring to account elected ministers and hold them responsible for their acts and omissions, so what chance of redress against people merely offering advice should it turn out badly?
