RE your front page story, “Alert as pyscho rapist escapes” (Echo, Nov 4), in which you detailed the clothing two prisoners were dressed in when they escaped from a prison near Boston, Lincolnshire.
What has gone wrong with the “crow’s feet” outfits that identified a prisoner of the Crown, instead of the dark blue jackets, jeans, black trainers and black woolly hats worn by the escapees?
One wonders how much easier it can be to blend into society and, indeed, thumb a lift to freedom as these two are believed to have done.
