I AGREE with Harry Henson’s views about pavement obstructions (HAS, Oct 21).
Vehicles in Bishop Auckland, especially in Back Bondgate within yards of a public car park, are obstructing pedestrian walkways, forcing people to walk on the main road to get past.
Despite reporting this to the town manager and the police, the situation remains unchanged.
Newgate Street is littered with A-frames, presenting a hazard to disabled people and mothers with pushchairs. I write as a registered blind person to whom these obstructions are a menace.
Edward Waugh, Bishop Auckland.
