KATHY KIRBY is one of the few all-time great female singers.
She was signed to Pye, Decca and EMI Records. Her wonderful hits included Dance On, Secret Love, Let Me Go Lover and I Belong.
She made her television debut on Associated Rediffusion’s Stars and Garters, followed by Ready, Steady Go, Thank Your Lucky Stars, The Eurovision Song Contest and, of course, Top of the Pops.
In those days she shared the charts with such greats as The Tornados, Johnny Kidd and The Pirates, The Who, Shane Fenton, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Manfred Mann, Billy Fury, Adam Faith and The Hollies. I could go on and on.
