SOON, the dark nights will be with us again, exacerbated by the dreaded clock change at the end of this month.
Vandals, muggers and robbers will be rubbing their hands with satisfaction – more darkness to do their deeds.
On the other hand, tired motorists returning home from work will be hampered by the sudden emergence of car headlights, making driving more hazardous.
Exactly who benefits from this clock-changing? The effects could be lessened slightly if the clock was altered at the end of November and February. Can’t we give this a try?
