RE your story about Rocky Andrews, a former star of the TV show The Apprentice and owner of the sandwich chain Fatso’s, from Chop Gate, near Stokesley, avoiding a driving ban by Northallerton magistrates after he was caught using his mobile phone while driving (Echo, some editions, Oct 7).
His plea that disqualification from driving (as he already had nine points on his licence from three previous speeding convictions) would cause hardship and the loss of two staff jobs sounds commendable.
If he is genuinely so concerned, why does he persist in breaking the law? Perhaps because he “gets away with it”.
Think before you drive, Mr Andrews.
