PLASTIC charity bags are being pushed through our letterboxes at an alarming rate.

This serves no point at all and offers no help to each individual charity. A person has only so many clothes and other items to give away.

I have no objection to filling charity bags – provided I have something worthwhile and decent to put in. Last week, I had three bags from charities pushed through my door.

I would suggest the various charities get together and sort themselves out as to when and where each area was covered by each and how often.

It would also save them money on people just throwing the bags away.
