WITH 95 per cent of prospective Tory MPs already selected by their constituencies, party leader David Cameron, like a demented magician, says you don’t have to be a Tory to stand as a Tory at the next General Election.
What kind of gobbledegook is that?
Even if a few were elected as Tories – but not really Tories – they would be subject to the Tory Whip and vote as they are told, otherwise they would be renegade MPs; elected as pseudo-Tories, but actually independent.
Does Mr Cameron see a certain victory now looking a lot less certain? Any more gimmicks like this and he will end up a laughing stock.
