GATESHEAD has the Angel of the North, Darlington the Brick Train. Has anyone noticed that the new sculpture for Newton Aycliffe entitled In Our Image is an empty head?

This is so like our town with its empty shops, empty factories, most of the residents with empty pockets.

Soon we will probably have empty houses as the new owners will undoubtedly increase the rents as the new council has also increased the tax rates. I am sure the money spent on this emptiness is money well spent like the monuments on the entrance to the empty industrial estate.
