IT’S good to see our soldiers are returning from Iraq, but share a thought for our fallen ones who won’t be coming back.
This is a war that we should never have been involved in.
We hear our Prime Minister and other MPs talking about how we have changed Iraq and removed a terrible tyrant.
I can’t see any of the Iraqis who came here to get away from Saddam Hussein queueing up to return home to the new Iraq and making it a better place for all Iraqis to live in. Homes to be rebuilt, electricity to be restored, water to be reinstated, and, as shown on TV last Thursday night, raw sewage in the streets. Must be something to do with all the suicide bombings still being carried out and the scores of innocent casualties each week.
Were our brave soldiers’ lives worth this?
