LAST Sunday, when I visited the Green Fair staged in South Park, Darlington, I lost my purse. I contacted the man who organised the event and he immediately went to see if it had been handed in anywhere.
He wasn’t long in coming back with my purse, which had been handed in to the ice cream kiosk.
I don’t know who handed it in, but if that person reads this, I am very grateful for their honesty. It restored my faith in human nature. There are still some very good people in these difficult times.
I also want to thank the leisure services organiser who knew exactly where to go.
Mrs Joan Weston, Ferryhill, Co Durham.
