IN his column last week (Echo, April 14), Peter Mullen seeks to portray himself as an unbiased seeker of the truth, quoting from the “Scientific Alliance” with regard to climate change.
Looking up the “Scientific Alliance” with Google reveals an organisation denying climate change, in favour of GM crops, very much anti-green and pro-nuclear, run by people with strong industrial connections – for instance, the British Aggregates Association.
I wonder if they just might, by sheer coincidence, be in favour of a third runway and a sixth terminal at Heathrow (a lot of aggregates needed there).
Mr Mullen is up with Alistair Campbell in his ability to spin.
