I WOULD like to set the record with regard to the RAFA club in Northallerton. Rumour has it that we are about to close. This is quite untrue.

Like the rest of the licensed trade we are struggling a little, but with new committee members we are looking forward and not back.

I do think that a lot of local people are unaware of our existence. We have an excellent concert room at our premises at 300 High Street, which we can let out for any functions – ie, weddings, birthdays, etc, and we also have bingo twice a week.

We are a nice, friendly club where everyone gets a warm welcome.
