RE your letters from Ralph Hughes (HAS, April 18) and Doreen Turner (HAS, April 14) arguing that the forces employed to uphold the law are too often blamed for their actions.

There is no way in which you can justify the brutal behaviour of the police at the G20 protest in London, which led to the death of an innocent man.

Many of the police went with the full intention of having a fight, and covered their numbers so they could not be identified.

The behaviour of the police on that day was like something you would see in a fascist state.
