CORRESPONDENT Catherine Davison said that she’s fed up with music blaring out in shops and banks, but admits that she plays loud music in her car (HAS, April 10).

While I can understand her frustration at Michael Jackson booming out of stereos in public, whatever will people complain about next? The sound of someone laughing on public transport?

I like to listen to music when I shop in Asda at weekends. It makes me merry and often makes me burst into song in the aisles, usually when I am deciding to purchase a mouth-watering pasta dish or a ready-made Indian meal.

I wish some people would not be so priggish. It’s time to start dancing at the counters, dudes.

Woo, yeah.
