WE wholeheartedly agree with the comments of George and Jen Dutch (HAS, April 7) about Mark Warr, the most superb newsreader on Tyne Tees, being made redundant.
He is the best newsreader Tyne Tees have ever had and some of his replacements can’t hold a candle to him in terms of appearance, professionalism, tone of voice (he retains some of our local accent) and sympathetic attitude when the story warrants it.
Shame on you, Graeme Thompson (ITV regional director). We hope the BBC, or one of the other channels, will snap him up pretty quickly.
