THIS month marks the Meningitis Trust’s tenth Toddle Waddle event and we are seeking more support from your readers in the North-East and North Yorkshire.

For the whole month, this fun event encourages supporters to arrange a sponsored walk or waddle for the under-fives to raise funds to support those affected by meningitis.

Although meningitis can affect anyone, of any age, at any time, more than half of the reported cases are in children under five. Toddle Waddle was created to engage this age group and their parents, grandparents, nursery teachers and childminders – spreading awareness of the disease and its signs and symptoms, while also raising funds to support the trust’s work.

To register for the event, visit the Meningitis Trust’s Toddle Waddle website at meningitistrust.org/toddle waddle – or call the trust’s hotline on 0845 120 45 30 to receive a registration pack.

As a thank-you, all event organisers who raise more than £400 will automatically be entered into our draw, to win a computer, which will be held on June 8.
